Albot is probably the first ever Victorian robot. He was created in response to the Dickens bicentennial and inspired by HG Wells and Jules Verne. He is a genuine robot with no human parts and stands at over 2 metres tall. He is animated by state of the art digital remote controls and the unique transformer-like frame enables him to change shape and stretch up to well over 3 metres. For events where extra spectacle is required, he comes complete with illuminations and smoke machine for a steam powered effect.
Albot performs with a Victorian minder Mr Pullum who draws on his extensive experience in touring with ‘The Half Human Video Show’ to create delightfully comic and apparently spontaneous lively conversations with Albot. The on-board PA and voice box mean that he can also talk to the audience or play music if required.
